Running Of The Bulls

Every November, we head down to Pensacola Bay for the annual “Running of the Bulls” redfish trip. Pensacola pass is the only natural pass in Northwest Florida and since creation, the “bull” redfish migrate into the bay by the thousands to bulk up on menhaden before moving up the Yellow, Blackwater and East Rivers to spawn. Their menhaden diet gives them the unique bright copper color only found this time of year. The redfish we target range in size from 10-45 pounds and will eat just about anything that crosses their path. This is the most epic fly fishing for redfish you will ever experience!! You may also encounter several other species including Spanish Mackerel, Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Seatrout, Amberjack, Mahi mahi, and False Albacore. Ten and twelve weight rods along with sturdy reels with a smooth drag are recommended. The trip is 5 fishing days, 6 nights. Trip cost includes the charter boat, lodging, meals and gratuities. Travel and alcohol are not included.

*An $800.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. If you cancel your slot up to 30 days prior to the first day of the trip, your slot and the remaining balance of the trip will be cancelled.  A balance of $1,200.00 will be due if you cancel your slot within 30 days of the first day of the trip unless a replacement for your slot is found. The Running of the Bulls trip is a package trip and non-refundable once the trip has occurred. The trip is weather dependent and 1-2 days may be cancelled due to inclement weather during the trip.
